How Did They Know?

Fountains of the Deep
Moses wrote, concerning the flood, that "all the fountains
of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven
were opened" (Genesis 7:11). Then later he said that "The fountains of the deep and the windows of heaven were also stopped" (Genesis 8:2). Solomon also wrote of the "fountains of the
deep" (Proverbs 8:28). God asked Job, "Have you entered the
springs of the sea?" (Job 38:16). We now know that there
really are submarine fountains coming from the ocean floor
(e.g. off the coasts of Greece, Italy, Israel, Syria and Australia). How did the writers of Genesis, Proverbs, and Job know
of these when such discoveries were made many years later?
Creation Finished
Genesis 2:1 states that the creation was "finished," indicating an action completed without continuing into the future. This exactly what the First Law of Thermodynamics states: neither matter nor energy is being created or destroyed. The Genesis account is scientifically accurate on this point. How did Moses know this apart from modern science?
