I have been reading a lot on prophecies that have supposedly been fulfilled in recent years or months. I am not entirely sure how to handle this information. Much of it seems like grasping at straws, while some of it seems startlingly clear. I would like your thoughts on this. I have gotten most of the information from a site called Unsealed.
Thank you for your time!
"You are not to say, 'It is a conspiracy!' In regard to all that this people call a conspiracy, and you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it. It is the LORD of hosts whom you should regard as holy. And He shall be your fear, and He shall be your dread" (Isaiah 8:12-13).
Unsealed is an unhinged group that claims to find evidence of doom in the world around us. It arbitrarily applies prophecies in the Bible that dealt with the fall of various nations, such as Edom, Jerusalem, Babylonia, and Rome, and attempts to apply them to current events. It also makes up fake news items, such as claiming that there is a tenth unknown planet or brown drawf star, called Nibiru, that is supposed to enter the solar system and change the world. It made a number of predictions in 2016 and 2017 that never came true.
Doom and gloom tellers have always drawn a crowd. The idea that we are on the verge of a disaster is tintillating. But as Isaiah told Israel, if anyone should be feared, it is God alone.
Yes, one day this world will end, but it will be done at God's command and we already were told that their will not be any advance warning. "But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone" (Matthew 24:36). Therefore, the conclusion is that we should live as best we can because we don't know when we will be called home. "For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will" (Matthew 25:44). But listening to false ramblings of doomsayers will only distract you from doing what God says.
