I'm sorry but I strongly disagree with "Is looking at pornography fornication?" Not that I would divorce my future husband if this was the case, but that I would totally support a lady who does because when you're married to a man, he is the only person who should be able to satisfy you. The same in the case of a lady. Pornograhy is a worldy abomination. Was it there when Adam married Eve? Was it there when people were making the spiritual history according to the Bible? I don't believe this. I'm actually trying to make a minister of the church understand that his teaching is wrong. This is so foolish! Please try to understand it's not good that you have this all over the web saying pornography is okay.
Instead of making your case from the Scriptures, you resort to a distortion of truth. I never said pornography is acceptable. I have written a lot on the problems of pornography and the article referenced states repeatedly that sexual lust, such as pornography, and fornication are equally wrong. Viewing pornography is a sin. So is lying, murder, stealing, etc. But just because someone is involved in sin, it doesn't mean a husband or wife can divorce their sinful spouse, especially not with the right to marry someone else (I Corinthians 7:10-11). The only reason for divorce that allows remarriage is fornication and the sin of pornography is not fornication (Matthew 19:9). This is why selecting a spouse must be done carefully -- marriage is a lifetime commitment. That you don't like God's rules doesn't change the facts.
Your argument that pornography is a modern day problem is false. Pornography existed in both the Greek and Roman societies and I'm sure the problem predates those cultures. The Bible talks about the problem using more general terms, but in condemning lust, the Bible is condemning pornography.
"For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God; that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified" (I Thessalonians 4:3-6).
