Question:I was just talking to a friend of mine (who also happens to believe in UFO's) saying that Obama is the antichrist and going on and on with all these flimsy arguments. He claims that all these prominent theologians are all saying the same thing. Is this true? What do you think?
"For the LORD spoke thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying: "Do not say, 'A conspiracy,' Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy, Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled. The LORD of hosts, Him you shall hallow; Let Him be your fear, And let Him be your dread" (Isaiah 8:11-13).
I doubt very much that you can take any group of people and find every member saying the same thing, let along a group of theologians.
Barrack Obama is simply a man who was elected to serve as President of one country. How well he serves will be judged by the results and history.
Those who claim any single person is the antichrist only demonstrates their ignorance of the Scriptures. "Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour" (I John 2:18). The word "antichrist" simply means against Christ. There isn't just one antichrist, there are many. They aren't coming just before the end of the world, they have been present ever since Christ was here on earth. A problem Christians must always face in this last age of the world is that there are people who oppose Christ and his followers.
