Can a woman be ordained as Christian Pastor ?

The word "pastor" is used very loosely in the denominations. Generally in a denomination a pastor is a preacher. Women are not able to be preachers since God through Paul stated, "And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence" (I Timothy 2:12). But it is required for a preacher to speak with authority. "Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you" (Titus 2:15).

Biblically, a pastor is another word for an elder or bishop of a church. Elders have specific qualifications, one of which is "the husband of one wife" (Titus 1:6). This qualification automatically rules out women.
